Alicia Vennes

CEO

Alicia is a third-generation property manager and started her property management career in 2005 as a site manager of a small apartment complex in Portland, Oregon. She spent nearly a decade as an on-site Property Manager before becoming Assistant Portfolio Manager at Cascade Management. She has experience in single-family property management and tech development for housing software platforms. In 2016, she became Portland’s First Single Family Portfolio Manager of the Year. She currently owns and operates Stars Staffing Group and has recently started a property management company that hopes to take a holistic approach to housing management. Alicia was nominated as one of Portland Business Journal’s Most Influential Women of 2019 and holds a Business & Leadership degree from Marylhurst University.

Joe Vennes

CFO

Joe has worked in conventional, student and affordable housing for over 30 years. Joe has extensive lease-up experience with over 1,200 units leased at affordable and student housing projects across the Pacific Northwest. Joe worked with a non-profit housing provider at Portland State University and Central Oregon Community College in roles that included portfolio management, design and construction consulting, and administrative management. Joe has honed his role in affordable housing since 2006 and has managed a diverse group of properties with a variety of funding types including LIHTC, HOME, and HUD. With his many years at REACH Community Development, Joe has created and maintained deep relationships with local Portland housing and social service agencies including Home Forward, Our Just Future, TPI, Northwest Pilot Project and Urban League of Portland. He has proven an invaluable resource to the communities he serves. Joe holds an Occupancy Specialist Designation, along with degrees in Management and Marketing from the University of Oregon.

Ron is a seasoned professional with a career spanning over three decades, marked by diverse and impactful experiences in the realms of healthcare, banking, and technology innovation. His journey commenced by contributing to a prominent healthcare organization, where he honed his programming skills by crafting interfaces on IBM mainframes. He then smoothly transitioned into the banking sector, playing a pivotal role in the conversion of UNIX banking code to IBM mainframes.
Throughout the past 30 years, alongside his primary endeavors, he has steadfastly dedicated himself to the inception and cultivation of an exceptional enterprise. This endeavor materialized as a million-dollar-plus Internet criminal background screening business, meticulously constructed from the ground up. By harnessing the potential of cutting-edge programming languages, he engineered innovative solutions, thereby positioning the business at the forefront of its domain.

Lauren is a UX designer with a passion for understanding user needs through data analysis. She has 3 years of experience working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure that digital products are user-friendly and meet the needs of consumers. She enjoys solving problems and has a deep understanding of human-computer interaction. She is also proficient in a variety of design tools and techniques. In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and photography.
